Emerald Websites (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the My Portfolio mobile application (the “App”), which allows users to track their assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and overall financial progress.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using My Portfolio, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
Information you provide directly:
Name and email address (used for account creation and authentication)
Phone number (optional, for communication or recovery)
Financial data entered by you (assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and related notes)
Automatically collected data:
Device and technical information (device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data)
Push notification tokens (if you opt in)
We do not collect or store passwords directly. Authentication is managed securely via Firebase Authentication.
We do not collect or use precise location data.
Users can sign in using:
Email and password (managed by Firebase Authentication – password not stored by us)

You can delete your account and all related data at any time within the App by tapping your Profile Icon (top right corner of the home page) → Delete My Account button at the bottom of the Profile page.

Authenticate your identity and maintain your account session
Send relevant app notifications (if enabled)
Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues

All user data is securely stored in Firebase, a Google Cloud platform with robust encryption and industry-standard security measures.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Access to data is restricted to authenticated users.
Only you (the logged-in user) can access your personal and financial data.

The App uses the following trusted third-party services to operate securely and efficiently:
Firebase Authentication & Firestore (user accounts and data storage)
RevenueCat (manages in-app purchases via Apple App Store and Google Play)
These providers may process data according to their own privacy policies. They are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection requirements.
Your data is retained only while your account is active. You can delete your account — and all stored data — at any time via:

Once deleted, all associated personal and financial data are permanently removed from our systems.
We do not share your personal data with anyone, except:
To comply with legal obligations (if required by law enforcement or regulatory bodies).
There is no data sharing for advertising, analytics, or third-party marketing.
The My Portfolio app is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@emeraldwebsites.com.au for prompt deletion.
As Firebase and RevenueCat operate globally, your data may be stored or processed in data centres outside Australia. All transfers are conducted with appropriate safeguards to protect your privacy and comply with Australian law.
