How much of your spending is already covered?
Coverage is one figure: your passive income against everything your household spends. It is the question this app was built to answer, and the number moves every time you add a source of income or record a bill.

The ladder
Your own bills, cheapest first, marked off as your passive income reaches them. It names the next one within reach and what it would take to cover it — which is a subtraction between two figures you entered, not a target anyone has set for you.
Cheapest first is a choice. A ladder ordered by size would put the mortgage at the bottom and show nothing moving for years.
What the figure will not do
It counts passive income only.
A wage is not passive. Income that arrives whether or not you work is: rent, dividends, interest, distributions. Putting a salary in the top of the sum would answer a completely different question while looking identical on screen.
It rounds against itself.
Coverage is always rounded down and a shortfall is always rounded up. Overstating how close you are is worse than understating it, so the app never does the first.
A blank is never a zero.
A bill you have named but not costed is left out of the total and reported as an exclusion, so the figure is short by a known amount rather than quietly wrong.
It stops at what you entered.
No trend line, no "at this rate", nothing drawn past your last saved figure. That is deliberate and it is not coming.
It is not advice
My Portfolio does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence and does not want one. It never says what to buy, what to sell, what to borrow, or whether you are on track. It performs arithmetic on figures you typed in and shows you the result.
