These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Portfolio mobile application (“the App”), operated by Emerald Websites (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available in the App or on our website, with the “Effective Date” updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
My Portfolio is designed to help users track and understand their personal finances — including assets, liabilities, income, and expenses — inspired by concepts popularised by Robert Kiyosaki’s “Rich Dad Poor Dad” and the Cashflow Quadrant framework.
The App provides educational tools, calculations, and visualisations only.
It does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or any professional guidance. All information entered and displayed within the App is based on data supplied by you, and you are solely responsible for its accuracy and interpretation.
To use certain features, you may need to create an account via:
Email and password authentication through Firebase, or
Third-party sign-in (Apple or Google).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Some features of My Portfolio may be offered as paid subscriptions or one-time purchases in the future.
All payments will be processed securely through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or similar platforms via RevenueCat.
Any refunds, renewals, or cancellations will be handled in accordance with the applicable store’s policies. Emerald Websites does not process payments or issue refunds directly.
You agree not to:
Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data.
Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the App or its content.
Upload any harmful code or misuse the App’s features.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the App in any way.
Your personal information and data are handled according to our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
You can view the Privacy Policy at any time within the App or on our website.
You retain full control over your data — including the ability to delete your account and all stored information at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete My Account).
All intellectual property rights in the App, including its name, logo, design, code, and content, are owned by Emerald Websites or its licensors.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
The My Portfolio App is a personal finance education and tracking tool only.
It does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice.
You should always seek guidance from a qualified financial adviser before making financial decisions.
Emerald Websites is not a financial services provider and does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee that:
The App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Calculations or analytics provided by the App will be accurate or reliable.
The App will meet your financial goals or expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Emerald Websites and its affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, reliance on data, or inability to access the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights guaranteed under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
You may terminate your account and delete all associated data at any time within the App by navigating to:
Profile → Delete My Account.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or engage in activity that could harm other users or our systems.
Upon termination, your right to use the App immediately ends, and your stored data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
If you access the App from outside Australia, you are responsible for compliance with local laws to the extent they apply.
